LOST Ruminations
*Spoiler Warning: for anyone who is not caught up on the show, you may not want to read the below, as some emotional moments are a little bit betrayed*
I love LOST. Can't get enough of it. What really struck me the other week was the succinct killing of 3 unnamed extras in one fell swoop. I thought there were more extras with Locke's group, but i was wrong. All the extras died. So, I wanted to take a look at all the deaths and the current state of the Oceanic Survivors. Saying that only 8 survived the crash might not be so far off...
Running death toll (passengers of Oceanic Flight 815): Pilot (Seth Norris), Marshall Edward Mars, Riptide girl (Joana), Boone, Scott (or was it Steve?), Mr. Artz, Shannon, Donald (in flashback), Nathan (in flashback), Ana Lucia, Libby, Eko, Nikki, Paulo, Charlie, 3 redshirts that went with Locke
Other Islanders: Ethan Rom, 2 Others on "Tail" beach, Goodwin Masquerading Other with "Tail" group, Inman (flashback), Other running near river, Colleen, Danny, Miss Klugh, 7 Others trying to abduct women, Tom (Mr. Friendly), Bonnie and Greta, Mikhail, Naomi, Rosseau, Karl, Alex
(5/2/08) Total Survivors of Flight 815: 48 "wing section," 1 nose section, 19 tail section, Deaths: 13 Wing, 1 Nose, 5 Tail; the remaining tail sections survivors (13 of them) should all be alive and with the Others at the Temple
Current Survivors: 35 known survivors. 1 Off-Island. 2 on the freighter. 1 missing (Claire), Locke and Hurley are looking for Jacob, Sawyer is in the jungle with Miles, Jack, Kate, Sun, Jin, Rose, Bernard, and 22 'redshirts' most of whom I assume to be on the beach.
I tend to waste too much time thinking about these things...
